Cosmetic Acupuncture
Cosmetic acupuncture is a safe, non-invasive approach to anti-aging that stimulates your body's own collagen production, tones facial muscles, and improves circulation — creating visible rejuvenation without needles near the eyes or toxic injections.
What Is Cosmetic Acupuncture?
Cosmetic acupuncture — sometimes called facial rejuvenation acupuncture or the "acupuncture facelift" — is a complete treatment protocol that uses ultra-fine needles placed at specific points on the face, neck, and body to stimulate the processes of collagen synthesis, muscle toning, and lymphatic drainage.
Unlike Botox, which paralyzes muscles, or fillers, which introduce foreign substances into the tissue, cosmetic acupuncture works entirely through the body's own biology. Each needle creates a micro-trauma that triggers the skin's healing response — stimulating fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin, increasing local blood flow, and gradually improving tissue quality from the inside out.
Why Cosmetic Acupuncture Is Different
Most cosmetic interventions treat the face in isolation. Cosmetic acupuncture treats the whole person whose face is showing the results of systemic imbalance. Dr. Bezemer's approach includes body points alongside facial points — addressing the underlying hormonal, digestive, circulatory, and emotional factors that manifest as aging in the skin. This is what makes results more comprehensive and longer-lasting than surface treatments alone.
Hormonal fluctuations that cause breakouts and dullness are addressed through liver and kidney meridian points. Digestive issues that drive puffiness and poor complexion are treated through stomach and spleen channels. Stress that accelerates aging is addressed through nervous system regulation. The face reflects the whole body — so the treatment must too.
What Results Can I Expect?
Results vary by individual, but most patients undergoing a full course of treatment report visible improvements in skin texture and tone, reduction in fine lines and softening of deeper wrinkles, improved facial contour and lift, reduced puffiness and better lymphatic drainage, and a more even, radiant complexion. Many patients also report improved sleep, digestion, and stress levels as secondary benefits of the systemic treatment.
The Treatment Course
A full course of cosmetic acupuncture typically involves 10 to 12 sessions spaced over 5 to 6 weeks. Most patients begin to notice changes within the first 5 to 7 sessions. After completing a course, monthly maintenance sessions help sustain and build on the results.
Dr. Bezemer recommends beginning a course at least 8 to 10 weeks before any major event if you want to look your best — results are cumulative and continue to improve after treatment ends as collagen production continues.
The face is a mirror of the whole body. True rejuvenation cannot happen at the surface alone — it has to come from within.
The benefits of Cosmetic Acupuncture
No Toxins or Surgery
Completely natural — no Botox, no fillers, no downtime, no recovery period.
Collagen Stimulation
Directly triggers the body's own collagen and elastin production for lasting structural improvement.
Whole-Body Benefit
Because we treat systemically, patients often report improvements in sleep, energy, and digestion alongside visible skin changes.
Long-Lasting Results
Collagen production continues after treatment ends — results build over time rather than fading.
